Why buy a Leaf Lite®?

A non-chemical, sustainable and environmentally friendly fire lighter.

Leaf Lite® is the longest burning fire lighter on the market, removing the need to use kindling when burning coal and wood (of course, we would recommend using our Leaf Log® or Rustic Log® eco-log products as that would eliminate the need for firelighters altogether).

Leaf Lite® is a completely non-chemical fire lighter and it follows the same principle as the Leaf Log® in the sense of its make up, but is a more compact version that effectively acts as an environmentally friendly version of the traditional paraffin wax fire lighter.

The Leaf Lite® can be used on barbeques and instead of kindling and will burn up to thirty minutes.

Leaf Lite® uses waste leaves sourced from stockpiles collected by local authorities in Birmingham, Walsall and Sandwell and has agreements with two of Birmingham’s universities (the University of Birmingham and Birmingham City University), Bournville College and Sutton Park and one of the largest nature parks in Europe.

Presently, around five million tonnes of leaves fall across the UK annually with the majority collected will end up in landfill.

Using a renewable energy for fuel reduces the planet’s dependence on energy sources that significantly contribute to climate change, which is of course at present a very prominent concern for future generations.
