Leaf Log takes what would normally be regarded as green waste into a sustainable and environmentally friendly bio fuel. The idea behind Leaf Log is a simple one, maximum affect with minimum consequence to the environment. The Leaf Log range is 70% Carbon neutral which automatically places it as kinder alternative to burning conventional fuels such as wood and coal. Using a renewable energy source for fuel reduces the planet’s dependence on energy sources that significantly contribute to climate change, which is of course at present a very prominent concern for future generations.
Turning the annual leaf collection (thousands of tonnes) into Leaf Logs eliminates the need to landfill this organic waste, which currently releases methane gases into the environment when decomposing, which is potentially more harmful that carbon.
Simply place any Leaf Log product on the grate, light the bag and sit back and enjoy the warmth of a real fire. Providing immediate ignition from an open flame, Leaf Log products require no kindling or firelighters and produce a clean smoke-free flame, the fine dust which is left (less than 1%) can then be used to fertilize gardens.
The Leaf Log range can be used on open fires, stoves, chimineas and for recreational use such as camp fires. First in the range is The Leaf Log itself which consists purely of dried and compressed leaves which have been gathered from parks and other locations around the west midlands, this product will burn for up three hours independently. Secondly there is The Rustic Log which is made up of waste wood materials that would otherwise go to landfill; this product also has a burn time of up to three hours. Lastly is the Leaf Lite which follows the same principle as the Leaf Log in the sense of its make up, but is a more compact version that effectively acts as an environmentally friendly version of the traditional paraffin wax fire lighter. The Leaf Lite can be used on barbeques and instead of kindling; burn time is up to thirty minutes.
