BioFuels International were delighted when approached by Martin Vickers of the Halfpenny Green Vineyards to utilise their vine leaves in the production of Leaf Log.  Being the leader of the UK’s most environmentally friendly heat log for use in homes and industry we were pleased to join in partnership for the harvesting of this natural and renewable energy source. Now available for sale in their Craft Shop, Martin feels that his customers warrmly welcome the easy access to this carbon reducing leaf based product.

Vines were first planted at Halfpenny Green in 1983 by Martin Vickers on land his family have farmed traditionally for 3 generations. The vines are growing on gentle south west facing slopes in view of the Severn Valley. The soil is sandy over sandstone rock which warms very quickly in the spring and summer creating an ideal climate to ripen grapes. With a large Traditional English Tea Room and Restaurant to accompany the Craft Shop, the vineyard is well worth a visit – don’t forget to pick up some Leaf Logs whilst you are there!!
